Hausdörfer Therapy for (Young) Adults
Stuttering affects your entire life. Not being able to express yourself the way you want and feeling tense when you talk – at school or work – is extremely annoying. With the Hausdörfer method, you will become free from stuttering, even if you have already visited several stuttering therapists and speech therapists. We approach stuttering differently and use what is already there: your voice.
Group Therapy
Our therapy program includes two one-day foundation sessions that run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a one-week interval between them. The group size is limited to three to four participants only. The therapy program takes place at our location in Calgary. Additionally, there are three one-day follow-up sessions within a year after completing the foundation course. You will receive a reference book called “Through the Night To the Light,” a Foundation Therapy Book, and video recordings of the sessions. You also have the opportunity to attend future group follow-up sessions. The cost of the program is C$1995.
Individual Therapy
Our therapy program consists of two one-day foundation sessions from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a week between the sessions. You will need to attend the sessions in-person at our location in Calgary. Additionally, you will have access to three online or group follow-up sessions within a year after completing the foundation course. As part of the program, you will receive the reference book “Through the Night To the Light,” the Foundation Therapy Book, and video recordings that were made during the therapy. You will also have the opportunity to participate in future group follow-up sessions. The cost of the program is C$1995.
Online Therapy
Our therapy consists of two foundational sessions, each lasting for one and a half hours. These sessions will be conducted online, with a gap of approximately one week between them. After the foundational course, there will be three follow-up sessions, each lasting for half an hour, within a year. In addition, you will receive a PDF reference book called “Through the Night To the Light,” a Foundation Therapy Book, and video recordings of the therapy sessions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in future group follow-up sessions. The cost of the therapy is C$995.
Hausdörfer Therapy for Children
Stuttering can be very upsetting for a child. Getting a turn in class, having to ask a teacher or speaking in a group can cause a lot of stress. A child who cannot express himself the way he wants will not be happy. As a parent, you want your child to have a carefree childhood. With the Hausdörfer method, your child can become free from stuttering. The Hausdörfer method has already freed hundreds of children from stuttering with simple exercises in a relaxed manner. We are also happy to help your child.
Therapy for 5-8 years olds:
Our therapy program comprises a half-day foundation session that is especially focused on the parents. This therapy session can be held either at your home or at our location in Calgary. Additionally, three online follow-up sessions will be conducted to ensure progress is maintained. As part of the program, you will receive the Foundation Therapy Book. There is also an opportunity for future in-person or online follow-up sessions as required. In case of applicable travel costs, they will be quoted and invoiced separately. The total cost of the therapy program is C$795.
Therapy for 8-13 years olds:
Our therapy program consists of a full-day foundation session for the child, parents, and siblings, which can be held either at your house or at our location in Calgary. Additionally, five to ten online follow-up sessions will be included to maintain progress. You will receive the reference book “Through the Night To the Light” and the Foundation Therapy Book. If required, future in-person or online follow-up sessions can also be scheduled. Any applicable travel costs will be quoted and invoiced separately. The total cost for the therapy program is C$1595.

Additionally, there will be four to six follow-up sessions, each lasting half an hour, within a year of completing the foundation course. You will receive the reference book “Through the Night to the Light,” the Foundation Therapy Book, and video recordings of the therapy sessions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in future group follow-up sessions. The cost of the entire program is C$795.
Hausdörfer Advice for Parents of Toddlers
Are you thinking of taking your toddler or preschooler to a stuttering therapist because he stutters or is starting to stutter? We believe that as a parent, you can intervene very well with the right tools without your child getting the feeling that he is doing something wrong or needs to undergo therapy at a young age. With few instructions, you can adjust your child’s speech yourself under the guidance of your stuttering therapist.
Advice at Home:
Our “Advice-at-Home” program involves a two-hour therapy session mainly focused on parents. The session can take place either at your home or at our location in Calgary, depending on your preference. Additional follow-up sessions can be arranged at an extra cost. As part of the program, you will also receive a Foundation Therapy Book. If there are any travel expenses involved, we will provide you with a separate quote and invoice. The cost of the advice program is C$395.
Advice Online:
Our “Advice-Online” program consists of a one-hour therapy session primarily focused on parents. The session is conducted online, and additional follow-up sessions can be added at an extra cost. As part of the program, you will receive the Foundation Therapy Book. The cost of this advice program is C$195.
